Setup, leveling and blocking in Little Rock

Setup puts the home on piers and blocking at the right height and gets it level. On multi-section homes it includes joining the sections. In Arkansas this is installation work, done by installers licensed with the Manufactured Home Commission.

What it involves and costs

Setup places the home on piers and blocking, levels it and, for multi-section homes, joins the sections. Arkansas requires installers to be licensed by the Arkansas Manufactured Home Commission and to place a permit decal on each installation.

Price your move with the moving cost calculator, or check an older home with the move checker.

Worth knowing

  • Ask for the installer’s AMHC license and check it online
  • A $10 AMHC installation permit decal is paid by the installer
  • The AMHC may inspect a random sample of installations
  • Re-leveling an existing home is also installer work

What to send movers

  • Home size and number of sections
  • Pad or pier type at the site
  • Whether this follows a move or is re-leveling a home already in place
