HomeFull serviceTransport only
Single-wide$5,000–$8,000$1,000–$2,000

Triple-wide$12,000–$20,000+$3,000–$5,000

Full service includes disconnecting and reconnecting utilities, removing and reinstalling skirting and exterior features, and reassembling the home at the new site. Transport only covers the haul; the home must already be disconnected with decks and add-ons removed. If you book transport only, HomeGuide puts a separate teardown and setup at $3,000–$5,000.

Escort cars

Homes that take up more than one lane need pilot cars. HomeGuide puts escort fees at $1.50–$3.50 per mile. In Arkansas, ARDOT rules call for one escort in front for units over 12 ft wide on two-lane and other non-divided highways, and two escorts (front and back) for wider units; on divided highways with four or more lanes, a single escort behind applies to the widest units.

Arkansas permits

  • A home over 8 ft wide or 60 ft long needs an ARDOT special permit for each single movement.
  • The permit fee is $17 per unit up to 16 ft 6 in wide and $150 above that (emergency permit). No permit is issued over 18 ft wide.
  • Homes over 12 ft wide may not use two-lane highways 7–9 a.m. or 3–5 p.m., except on Saturdays and from June 15 to August 15. No moves on Sundays, listed holidays or at night.
  • At the new site, the licensed installer pays a $10 Arkansas Manufactured Home Commission permit decal for each installation.

What else changes the price

  • Distance. Costs rise with distance, fuel and time on the road.
  • Number of sections. Each section is a separate load with its own truck, permit and escorts.
  • What is attached. Decks, porches, carports and additions must come off and be rebuilt.
  • Site access. Tight turns, soft ground or trees at either end add time and equipment.
  • Condition. Missing axles or tires, or frame repairs, are extra.
  • Site work. A new pad, piers, driveway and utility hookups at the destination are usually separate trades.
